We relocated from Edmonton to Vaughan recently for work and used Alliance for our move. We dealt with the company rep Nelly why was wonderful to deal with and was always very responsive. She sent us a form to fill out, got a price and booked the moved. Movers called the day before to confirm times which was great and they arrived as scheduled. We received a call 5 days later to say that delivery was coming which was much earlier than we anticipated, but they were able to offer storage until we arrived. Great service, delivery crew was amazing as well. I will move with them again when we go back to Alberta!

Be warned, this company is horrendous to deal with. We used them to move our mother across the country and the damage they caused and horrible customer service is beyond anything we have ever experienced. A couch was left on main floor of apartment because they couldn't fit it into elevator (we had friends come move it up stairs because this company just left it) Furniture was broken/ripped, Movers left without telling us they were done. We followed their protocol and filled out all forms, and got $40 back..that is all.

This company operates using well known scam tactics. They begin by offering a below average quote in order to get your business, they then get a down payment from you before they begin gradually increasing the cost of their services. To top things off they will hit you with surprise fees throughout the entire process. My initial quote to move my parents from Montreal to Ottawa was $1500, much lower than any other quote I received from other moving companies. In the end I paid $3100. Alliance asked for a detailed list of items that would need to be moved in order to provide an estimate. Based on the info I provided, my initial quote was $1500. Two days before the move they called to get more accurate info so they could give me a more accurate estimate. Even though there were fewer items than on my original list, the estimate went from $1500 to $2100. However, it was too late for me to cancel and find another moving company in time. This is a classic scam tactic! They knew I had no option but to pay them. When the movers arrived they told me I would have to pay an additional $400 because we had stairs! Then, when the delivery guys arrived in Ottawa, they tried to hit me with a long carry fee of $300 even though they parked their truck in my condo building and they only had to go around a corner to get to an elevator. When I received my final bill it had a scale fee, and a warehousing fee. Both were strange to me because when I asked how much the delivery weighed they told me they only weigh it if they expect it will weigh more than what they gave me as an estimate, in other words, this was a BS fee. As for the warehouse fee, that was very strange to me, because I never asked them to store my items. In short, I was charged fees for services I never asked for and was never provided. This is stealing! To make things worse, the movers were extremely rude, argumentative, and generally extremely unprofessional. I would like to close by stating that I am a military veteran who has moved 8 times in the past 20 years so I know what to expect from a moving company, and this company is the worst. Do not use this company!

Alliance Van Lines Remember this name and tell your friends to never use this company if they are planning a move in the near future. Please pass this message on to as many people as possible. Thanks in advance. I have moved a couple of times and never had a problem with the moving company or damage done to my belongings. We recently moved from Oshawa to Deep River Ontario, north of Petawawa. Here is my experience. We first had a problem with communications with the moving coordinator. It took message after message and list of content after list to figure out the weight. It jumped from 5,000 to over 7,500 lbs from the same list. They assure you all your furniture is wrapped. I have moved before and it was always covered in moving blankets. So you assume this company will also. Well they covered most of it with bubble wrap...then charge us $150 for the wrap. Yet their ad states : " No additional Costs " . We had to put it in storage for a short term. We move.....excited to move into a brand newly constructed apartment building...everything is new ! ! The truck arrives and the driver tells us the paperwork shows this is a move into a house. He now says they will bill you extra because it's an apartment. The charge is 5 cents a pound...an addition $ 375.00, because someone marked the delivery to a house. We told them it was an apartment. The movers proceed to move our belongings. They scuffed walls marked baseboards and door frames. We started to unpack the bubble wrap because they don't do that. We could see damage through the wrap. We had holes punched through a new tv stand, corners broken of tables, pictures that were well wrapped by us scratched when we took them out of the box, the frames were scuffed, all 4 edges of the dining room table looked like it had been dragged across a concrete floor, the finish was off, the bedroom furniture had gouges and the finish removed in spots, the covers on our outdoor furniture was torn and tire marks embedded in it, and the list goes on. I assumed the moving company would be covered for liability, but NO !! I would guesstimate damages over $1,000. They are now claiming we didn't take out insurance which was our responsibility so they are not responsible. They offered us $40 for damages. It's covered under your home insurance if you want to pay the $500 deductible ! ! Alliance Van Lines... a f**king joke ! ! Save your money and your belongings and find another moving company ! ! !

Run as fast as you can away from this company. July 28 I got a quote for a move from Windsor to Edmonton for $2160 with a pick up date Aug 28. I thought the quote was low and asked if I could be present when the truck was weighted. Answer was no. Aug. 10 move went up to $2730, then increased again to $7001. I submitted practically identical itemized list, but for some reason, they could not comprehend that I had 10 x 10 locker full of boxes and a three bedroom home partially furnished. They were given a list of the contents in the locker and house. Then they change my pick-up to Aug. 31. They were well aware my closing date was Aug. 30. Aug. 30,one day before the move I’m sent another quote of $11,155. They provided me with an itemized list which included things that I don’t even own. I don’t know how a quote goes from $2160 to $11,555. They have a policy even if your weight is under the quote, you pay the quote. The finally of this nightmare I had to phone for a time for pick and was told between 3 - 7. 6:30 pm that day they phone and cancelled stating the earliest they can be there is Sept. 2. They just left me in this mess esp. when I should have been out Aug.28. I don’t know how this company remains open.

Alliance lost many of my items during my move. I understand the this can happen, but considering that I received another customer's items in my move and sent more than five emails over five months regarding them, I have no confidence that they do any work to return lost items.

My goodness, this company just have all fake 5 star reviews on google. poor service, and no business ethics. why faking it, and lying to everyone.

Worst service ever once the sales rep Nelly got my deposit she stopped responding. Dispatch was garbage received the call once they were at my storage unit and not 30 minutes before as promised. Was not advised of the 3% fee charged for paying with credit card until day before delivery and then the driver charged 400 because they arrived after the gates were locked as dispatched failed to disclose all information to them. If i could give negative 5 as a rating i would. All my boxes were damaged even those clearly marked fragile. All my plastic bins were destroyed and only held together by the tape that they were wrapped in. I pray for future customers sake the business goes up in flames

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY PERIOD. if you have a phone call with them, immediately send them an email with everything you said to the tee. Leave a paper trail always. We did a long distance move with this company, we agreed to have them hold our items on the other side while we traveled cross province later that week. Month goes by when the move happens, they confirm the stuff is enroute. They back out of their arrangement with holding our items on the other side and threaten to leave our items on the side of the road because it's not their problem we never asked them to hold our items for us. All in all, we were extorted 1,500$ from this company. The manager N. Is heartless. Can't take accountability for their employees and refused to accept responsibility. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

If you want predictability and peace of mind with your moving needs, please DO NOT USE this business. 80% of my items of my cross country move were either smashed or materially damaged. I used to be a mover and am really sad about how my items were treated. One item was an antique teak credenza that was put on it end on the bed of the truck with not blanket or cardboard protecting it which resulted is in the item being scratched up the door and drawer braking and the frame falling apart. This item was the reason for the shipment and it great shape beforehand. In addition to the careless handing of my items, they also quoted me the shipping cost and then when the COD delivery came, it was 50% more at my door step. They also charged me for services that were not provided: long stair carry when I have 4 stairs at the receiving location. Their claims department continues to not take responsibility or even acknowledge any mistake made. Please do not use this business, there are many other company that will treat your items with care for a reasonable price.

ZERO STARS! Stay away from this company!! It was the worst service I have ever experienced. The movers DELIBERATELY damaged ALL MY BOXES and furniture- causing thousands of dollars of damage. They told me it was because I packed the boxes not full and not wrap my things. Everything was well tagged, wrapped and packed. They never explained that a move from Edmonton to Québec would imply that my shipment will be handled 4 TIMES (4 trucks!). The lost 2 boxes (it's been a year and never found them). The movers damaged a wall, very late, wanted extra money to load snow blower (even though it was already in my quote). The broke my bbq and stains on mattress all the boxes and dishes broken. On a move that cost me 2500$, the only refunded 30$.. Are they kidding- the damage was worth more than that. Awful movers but sort of nice folks on the customer client side of things. But they 30$... was a joke- for all the trouble I went through. Would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! So happy I am not moving anymore… ouf, what a stressful ordeal!

The worst moving experience I've ever experience in my life and I have moved across different cities in Ontario and to another country and back to Canada. This move was from Quebec to Ontario. My things were damaged with no valid explanation, the movers were incredibly unprofessional and the correspondent for my follow up claim to damages has gaslighted my experience. I had to follow up on my claim as they did not contact me after the 8-10 week window they give for processing claims. DO NOT use this company for your move, everything that can go wrong will go wrong and they will offer you $40 to settle their incompetence and mistakes. Book elsewhere so you don't have to deal with the stress of the move months afterwards.

We arranged a move from ontario to alberta, pick up was good but they overcharged us by saying that we have more items than listed while infact the extra items were part of the same items such as sofa disassembled and wasnt count as 1 piece. When we received the stuff in alberta tables were dented also sofa was damaged. Dinning table chair leg broken. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

At first when I hired alliance, they did an excellent job communicating offering pickup/delivery dates. When the movers finally came to pick things up, they were kind and courteous. However, that's when everything went downhill. I moved from Moose jaw, Saskatchewan to Vancouver, British Columbia. I left about two days after the movers did. I waited about 2 1/2 weeks waiting for the delivery truck to come. Finally I gave up and I called them. They informed me I owed them more money; I never received an email and I never would have known unless I would've called them. They then told me to contact dispatch to organize a date. Finally, when my things came the two gentlemen, who were delivering my things had the boxes flipped on their sides on their trolley. I was absolutely horrified that all of these boxes were being either dropped or flipped on their side. When I opened them I found tons of damage. I am heartbroken. A lot of these items are heirlooms from my mother who passed away. When I contacted alliance, I had to follow up several times just to get any sort of insurance information. In the end. I got $35 for hundreds of dollars of damage. I was never informed about different coverages during my entire experience with alliance; the only time I ever was informed of anything was when I signed the paperwork when they picked up my things in Moose Jaw, when my things were already in the truck. I hired a moving company because I am not experienced with long distance moves and would hope that 'professionals' would have helped me more. Not only am I out the money of the initial moving cost, but damages/loss of my property. I even had three boxes of things that weren't even mine delivered. When I informed alliance, they again said dispatch would get in touch. This was back in June, and it is now December, 2023. It is a sad combination of 'buyer beware' and abuse of their clients. One star because they did manage to get my things here, unfortunately most of it wasn't salvageable or repairable. Please consider a different moving company; learn from my mistakes. I took the gamble ignoring the bad reviews- it bit me big time.

STAY AWAY PLEASE! We have been very unfortunate with this moving company. We don't move a lot and we are not sure if this is the case for every mover. But alliance van lines first started by taking your deposit, then raised the price because 'there were some items they missed in the quote'. There is nothing you can do, seriously. Then when your items arrive, many items were damaged and missing. It took months to get through the claim, and by the end of it, they only covered not even 1% of the damange. I am really sorry that people are treated like this in Canada.

Seriously great service with these folks. Had moved with them recently from Edmonton to Toronto (GTA). They emailed me a price, and called me after to follow up. The sales person (Nelly) was great to deal with and had offered to take a better look at what needed to be moved. I was happy with that as most other companies were quick to spit out the price and didnt even care what was being moved. We had a painting crated and I was happy with the outcome. The piece came undamaged. I was happy with the customer service approach and overall final price. Deposit was 750 and final price was paid before delivery.

This is our 2nd move with Alliance. Moved back in 2021 to Winnipeg with them and now moved back to GTA with them from Winnipeg. Very happy with the service and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Accepted delivery on January 4th. Customer service was great for both moves.

Great experience with Alliance! We moved from Balmertown, ON to Winnipeg with a recent delivery on November 11, 2022. We were happy with the service. The same crew who did the pick up did the delivery the next day and we were very happy with the quick turn around. I took a quick picture of the trailer before they left and i was very happy to see it appear all in the same shape the next day at delivery. We did pack our own boxes, but the men did pack all of our furniture which was great work at both ends!

Alliance Van did a long distance move for us from Alberta to Newfoundland. Very good service and very fair price. We got many quotes from other Vanlines and we were quoted thousands more. I was very happy that they were able to pick up on the weekend. Once the load arrived to the main Ontario warehouse they contacted me to co-ordinate the ferry and delivery times. This allowed us time to travel as well and to be in the house only a few days without our furniture. I was very happy with the booking process as well as they took the time to find out what we actually needed to move and suggested items that needed crating (fragile items). Our piano also made it across the country in great shape. We were also worried about the stairs that were in the house with this massive piano but they were able to bring a bigger crew to take it upstairs for us. Great service! I wouldn’t want to move again, but if I had to move again I would definitely use them again.

We are a young couple (students) who moved from Brandon in Manitoba to the outskirts of Toronto area (GTA). We just used Alliance for our move (small move) and we were happy with the service and price. We did have a 1000 lbs move and the driver came and loaded everything in the span of days that they provided. They did an inventory list, we go a copy and we used it at delivery. We dealt with Nelly, who was quite responsive and helpful. My wife was very worried about the move but we were happy when we received everything in order within 8 days. Happy to report a good move and will use them again.

From the start I was very happy with the process. When I contacted them the sales rep did recommend that before I book, I send them a list of what I was moving. I did do that and felt comfortable that they didn’t grab the deposit before I approved the price. We moved from Fredericton to MNTL area. We did have a huge amount of spiral stairs at delivery and I felt terrible for the poor crew who had to take everything by hand. They did arrive in the evening for delivery but were not hesitant to do it that night. There was a lead driver, his name was Steve and he was great to deal with. At the end my additional fees were the stair fees that we had to deal with. They charged me an additional fee for that which I though was fair. I also had a bed assembly service. Otherwise the price was what was quoted +/- $90. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Oh the sales rep was Nelly, but the rest of the staff was great to deal with as well.

Great job from Alliance Van Lines. Did a long distance move with them and had a good experience. We loved the communication with the office and they were easy to reach. Responsive to emails/text and calls. Nelly was our rep and I was happy with her responses. They had us do an inventory of what was being moved, we approved the quote and then put a deposit. They did try to charge us for the incorrect tax bracket but once we pointed it out that was rectified. Loading crew was very careful. Ali was the head guy and he was great. At delivery there was a much larger crew and it was very quick. A bit overwhelming but we did have a large move (53 ft trailer). We did a military move a few times and this was our first experience where we chose a mover by going online.

Many thanks to Alliance for a job well done. Moved from Winnipeg to Montreal. Accepted delivery on August 21st, 2022. Our rep that we were dealing with was Nelly. Dispatcher was very accommodating as well. I was comfortable with the entire process from start to finish. They took an inventory of what needed to be moved and then I had it approved by my work (this move was paid by my employer). Deposit was placed and the crew arrived as per the set dates. They did offer us some storage to wait while we got the keys in Quebec. In general, the correspondence was great and the company was very responsive. Nelly was always responsive to her emails. Final total was a bit higher than the quote due to some packing and some items I added. But in general, it was well within the budget. Great work from these folks.

Alliance were the best movers I came across so far. The customer service was really great, they addressed all of my concerns and provided tips on how to get organised for my move. The movers were also great. Strong, pleasant guys, were really careful and made sure that the stuff goes to the rooms it was supposed to go. They had a great attitude and were the most polite and caring guys. I was happy with the customer service part as well as Nelly took the time to review what I was moving and give me a quote and never rushed me. Gave me great feedback and suggestions. I didn’t feel pressured at all. We moved from Regina to Surrey. Our friends moved with Alliance last year so we were happy to choose them as well. Definitely recommend these guys. The quality/price ratio surprisingly good and satisfying.

We moved from BC (Kelowna) to (Markham) Ontario in the dead of winter of 2022. We received excellent service. Nelly was our rep and she was great to deal with and extremely responsive. Always had someone respond by phone or email which was great. The packing was well done by courteous professional team. The unloading team were equally professional and worked hard. Jack, our driver, and team leader, was very easy to work with. He kept us informed along the way and took inventory which was great. Left us with a copy once completed. He asked us if we wanted mattress covers and we did want those. We have moved multiple times and had some very bad experiences but I would recommend this company to anyone. I was very impressed because the final price was close to the original quote which is always a concern when moving long distance.

Alliance Van Lines made my move more than excellent. I found this company online, and decided to book it after a few phone calls with the sales rep. The price was very reasonable. I moved from a 2 bedroom house in Trenton, ON to a 3 bedroom house in Toronto, ON (north York). The movers arrived on time and started loading the truck right away! The crew was nice, smiling with a good attitude to me and my belongings and to the whole move in general. I liked the communication with Cathy and Nelly over the phone, she explained in detail all the process of the move and helped me get an accurate quote so there were no surprises for me. Thank you for such a great experience! I liked the way you work and I will book you when I need to move next time.

We recently had to move out of a 3300 sq ft home including a large shop from Ottawa to Toronto. And because our new home was under construction and has been delayed for six months, the company had to store the shipment for longer than we wanted. We did not want to separate from our shipment for so long nor did we plan to and were worried about storage of the items for such a long period of time.From assessment of the move requirements to the packing and moving of a highly varied inventory and to the delivery to final address, the management and moving team of this company were flawless and extremely efficient in their service delivery. Great care was taken to avoid any damage to the home and furniture in the process by the team which to a person was courteous, sensitive to owners' concerns and efficient. After receiving our shipment from the storage facility we were pleasantly surprised that everything came in great condition. There was a bin that was forgotten on the truck but we called it in and it was delivered to us within the new 2 days. Great service to these guys.

They were very helpful and happy to answer any questions I had prior to the move, and I was able to reach someone quickly when I called. Each person I spoke to was courteous and professional. My sales person that I dealt with was Nelly and Anne. Their costs were not as high as I expected, especially for the services they provide. I shopped around a bit before I decided to call, so I was aware of what competitors were charging when I got their prices. The quote was very accurate in comparison to what I had to pay and I loved the fact that they accepted email transfers as a payment option. Delivery was on time (within the promised dates) and dispatch had called me at least twice to confirm everything which I found very informative. I didn't run into any problems in any of my dealings with them so it's safe to say that they are a group of good people who simply want to do a great job by sending their customers away as happy people.

I was directed to use Alliance Van Lines by a consultant for my company. I was relocating from Trenton, ON to Richmond, BC. I was coordinating everything with the office from Richmond while Alliance was working with my husband in Ontario during our transition between the provinces. I was very happy with the service we received and would recommend Alliance for anyone having to move across the country. Very satisfied with my experience and it's possible I will have to relocate at another time and my first call will be to Alliance.

Moves are very stressful, especially when you move from a city where not that many companies travel to. I moved from Sexsmith, AB to Montreal and made lots of research and there very few companies were able to make the move and Alliance Van Lines was one of them and had the best price among those others. They didn’t just throw numbers at us, they actually sent me a form to fill out and gave me an accurate quote. I realized that I had more weight than I thought originally and at least I was prepared. I am also happy to report that at the end the move was a bit more, but that’s because we decided to bring our bike with us (handling fee). The move was so easy that I didn't even notice it how it passed. Movers were very polite, customer service was great and very accurate with the details and their estimates. Delivery was done in about 16 days from the pickup. I worked with Mike most of the move but the entire staff is very friend at customer service. We had a few chips and a castor for a bedframe missing, but we are in a midst of a claim and they are being very understanding and compromising. Very happy with the service and recommended Alliance.

Our belongings arrived within the 2 week time frame given (moved from Midland, ON to New Jersey area). The two gentleman (can't remember thier names) that moved our furniture in were outstanding they wouldn't let us do a thing i basically pointed to where stuff was to go. They were very professional and super friendly. All of our items arrived in one piece except for one very cheap book case, which they apologized for and offered to pay for a new one. I was EXTREMLEY satisfied with the company and would recommend them in a heart beat. The company was great from beginning to end. Mike (Michael) was very personalble & friendly when it came to the quote and then confirming the job. He explained customs process and was very informative. He was professional and very dilegent. I called around to alot of different companies and got alot of quotes, Alliance Van lines was by far the best and they were great to deal with.

This was a great experience. I moved from Trenton to the Saint-Quentin, NB. I was quoted a price and when I called before the move and removed a few boxes and items the price was adjusted down. They were easy to get in touch with also. Tony, who was in charge the day of the move, was great. They came on time and everything was packed so carefully. I was impressed. Even though they got great reviews I was nervous because of all the horror stories you hear about movers. I had nothing to fear. It was so easy. I requested Tony to deliver my belongings also – but it was a different team (which turned out to be great as well). They let me know the day before the delivery and office called the day before before to let me know their arrival time. I could not have imagined a better move. The best thing was that the head office (Ottawa) was very responsive and could even be reached after hours and on the weekend. I worked with Michael during the quoting process and he was very nice and explained everything. He even brought up good points for packing and offered for us to purchase some covers for our sofas. You cannot go wrong with these guys. Great!

Having moved several times in my life, I learned that there are no guarantees in moving industry, except stress. I declare now that Alliance Van Lines will change your vision, eliminate the stress and exceed your exceptations. At least, this was my moving experience in dealing with them. I did my due research and decided to go, this time, for reputable professionals. My friends' recommendations were all pointing at Alliance. With Alliance i found what i was looking for a long time - Perfect Movers. It was very easy to use the source, i just filled the quote form one time and received about five moving quotes from different professionals. I booked the mover which best fitted my moving needs and budget. The moving team were punctual, with lots of moving supplies. It was such a relief when the move was done and nothing was broken.
