Dicle Islamic Society is founded by a group of Turkish-Canadian businessmen and academicians who are inspired by the teachings and example of Fethullah Gulen. The Institute is not a religious or ethnic organization. It aims to facilitate dialogue on a whole range of social issues, regardless of any particular faith or religion. It stands for democracy, human rights, the non-instrumentalisation of religion in politics, equality and freedom of speech. Our primary aim is to teach cultural and religious values to the Turkish community, focusing on the youth. Additionally, Dicle society holds a great emphasis in teaching moral values to the community. Our doors are open to anyone who is interested in Turkish culture and Islamic values. We are frequently organizing various events and courses aimed at strengthening the relationship between people in our community.

The mission of Beth Sholom is the mission of traditional Conservative Jewry. We seek to enrich the lives of our congregants and community through the ideals of Torah, Gemillut Hasidim (Social Action) and Achdut (Jewish Unity), and are deeply committed to observing and balancing Halacha and Jewish tradition with the demands of a developing and changing world. The Torah is the lifeblood of the Jewish people. Through this remarkable document, Judaism has not only survived, but has thrived through the expansion of its great ideals of love, justice and spirituality throughout the world. Beth Sholom, through a progressive series of programs, enriches the lives of our congregants. Through the devotion of prayer we further our understanding of our people's unique mission in this world. For we not only connect with God as individuals, but also connect as a community through our shared desires and concerns. Judaism has never believed that we could achieve our goals by removing ourselves from the world in which we live or from the people with whom we share it. Beth Sholom has a variety of programs that reach out to the community. From our annual Interfaith Dinner where clergy of all denominations in the city attend, to our Out of the Cold program and Kosher Food Bank, our hesed programs will help you discover how making a better world leads to making better people and Jews. Beth Sholom has long been a leader in community affairs, and a strong advocate of the philosophy that Jewish strength comes from Jewish unity. By hosting and participating in various community events, our membership becomes one with the Jewish community of Canada. With our strong support of a Jewish homeland, we further this unique tie and relationship to the State of Israel. Above all else, we encourage tolerance and respect, dialogue and co-operation among all branches of Jewry to build a better today - and an even greater tomorrow - for everyone. We invite you to discover the Beth Sholom family.
