Quote from Article in Mature Living, Calgary Herald, October 13, 2003 "My family fell in love with these two people, " he (Ted) says. "They were very knowlegeable and exacting. They helped out my wife and our family very much." Susan Bessant, CSA - As a girl, Susan remembers one of her favorite activities was going to the “Old Folks Home” on Saturday afternoon, and visiting. She didn’t have a relative in the home, but soon had many friends. It was then that she saw the spirit, and wisdom of the Seniors, and knew she wanted to be a part of their world. Her life however took her into a long and successful career in banking, from which Susan retired early. Upon retirement Susan was fortunate to be partnered with John Ashby - CSA. John has a significant medical background, which includes his 15 years as a paramedic, his own air ambulance business, and his ongoing involvement in the care of brain injury and mental health diagnosis clients. Together Susan & John formed Signature Care, the first Canadian membership partner of . John & Susan have both earned their designation as (CSA) & have become associate trainers of the Best Friends approach to dementia care - a program endorsed by the . In November 2006 Signature Care was honored with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Alberta's Business Ethics Award in the small business category. John and and Sue agree their community of mature adults is growing every day and they’re proud of the friendships they have created.

HERE'S WHAT WE DO IN CALGARY: Campus Life. Campus Life is a school-based outreach program that volunteers with school athletic teams, carries out student team-building rallies, and is involved in other activities on and off school campuses. Staff and volunteers mentor youth through sport by challenging and encouraging them to reach their full potential, supporting them in their development, teaching them life skills, and instilling positive values. Gym Blast. Gym Blast is a high energy, jam-packed, fun-filled, 1 ½- 2 hour, morning or afternoon motivational assembly full of games, geared for students from grades 7-12. Gym Blast promotes school spirit, team work and group effort. StreetLight. Our StreetLight program aims to reach youth who are living on the streets or who are involved in human trafficking through mobile drop-in centres in Bowness and in the downtown core, as well as through two 24/7 crisis lines. The program provides a safe environment for these vulnerable youth and facilitates mentorship relationships to help them make positive life changes. Youth Guidance. Our Youth Guidance program provides at-risk and minority youth with mentorship and relational support through facilitating sports events and through a partnership with an open custody home in Bowness. This program helps youth to develop positive values, relational skills, and leadership capabilities. Worth Auto. Worth Auto is an employment-training program in the form of an automotive repair shop for disadvantaged and troubled youth. Many of these youth lack self-worth and have rarely known accomplishment, so Worth Unlimited teaches them practical and valuable skills while inspiring their sense of identity. HERE'S WHAT WE DO AROUND CALGARY: In addition, Youth Unlimited operates two satellite programs: a community youth drop-in centre in Carstairs and an outreach program focused on mentoring youth in Bow
