Wentworth Villa is operated by the Pacific North-West Heritage Homes Foundation. The Foundation is setting up the Architectural Heritage Museum in the restored building. The Museum will be dedicated to presenting, preserving and popularizing Victoria’s rich architectural heritage. It will emphasize residential architecture, as opposed to official and public architecture.

Mark Loria Gallery is one of the leading indigenous art galleries in the world specializing in contemporary art from the Northwest Coast of Canada. Based in downtown Victoria, BC - and grateful to be on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples - our gallery has been proud to represent the leading indigenous artists from Vancouver Island, BC and Canada for over 40 years (previously known as Alcheringa Gallery), and has placed art in private and public collections all over the world. The gallery produces four to six new exhibitions every year, supplemented by ongoing new works by gallery artists. Mark Loria Gallery has one of the largest fine print collections to be found anywhere, and also represents paintings, carvings/sculptures, wearable art, ceramics, and textiles. What we do The University of Victoria Art Collections consists of some 27, 000 art objects which support the teaching and research programs of the University. Since the founding of the collection in 1953 a number of named collections have provided the thematic direction of the acquisition program. The two founding collection were the the University of Victoria Collection and the John and Katharine Maltwood Collection. A third collection, the Michael C. Williams Collection, was recently received by way of bequest. It underpins the exhibitions at our downtown Victoria Legacy Gallery. Mission Statement As a leader in cultural and academic collaborations, we reach across disciplines, within and beyond the university to engage curiosity, inspire creativity, and foster research and learning through art.
