I had terrible experience with this company, Imperial Builders, run by Ken/ Kenton, I came to know the company name provided on the address on this website was closed 8 years ago and it does not exist on that address. Kenton contacted me after posting on Trustedpros to get quote for basement renovation and repairs, I signed a contract with him on September 30, 2016, he asked for deposit of $3,000, I offered to give a cheque, he refused and demanded I pay by e-mail transfer which I did, I asked for a receipt but he didn't provide one. I came to know, for receiving his money by e-mail transfer he is getting his money cash and isn't paying taxes, but he added taxes on the contract. No one was coming to work on the days promised, he said his men are busy with another project and that he is going to find someone else to come to do the drywall work, two workers came and started the drywall work. We later found out they were working under another sub contractor, but they did not get the money promised and stopped working before finishing the job . After that, my contractor Kenton started not to respond to our text messages/calls and blocked our phone numbers, the subcontractor hired by kenton , sent us messages threatenig he is going to put a lien on our home after two days if we do not pay for the drywall work his men did.
