Either a very dishonest company or very poorly trained technicians.... A few days ago, my garage door would not close. A technician from Gulliver came within the hour and quoted me $750 because "a bunch of internal components" were busted. I told him that that is a very hefty price and we concluded that the door just needed to be closed for the night and we would deal with it on a different week. He ended up cutting the wires/cables to the door so he could bring it down! The next day, I called another company to come in to look at the door. First thing he said to me was that the cables should not have been cut and it will now cost extra to replace the system. In my head, I was thinking $1000+ at this point. 45 minutes later, $325 including tax, the entire operation was fixed. First of all, why is there such a huge difference in price? Second, I was charged $150 by Gulliver for awful service, and all they did was cost me more money by unnecessarily cutting cables. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless they have extra money to just throw away.
