Dr. DiSilvestro has been disciplined by the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons in a case involving the death of a patient. Please read the disciplinary report at the CPSO website prior to consenting to any surgery. Dr. DiSilvestro's practices have also been the subject of 3 other complaints to the college but you are not entitled to read those reports according to the College rules. One of them involves my right leg being amputated due to infection following surgery, after Dr. DiSilvestro had dismissed Infectious Disease (ID) physicians from my post operative care. The college panel stated that Dr. Disilvestro should 'in future cases' retain ID involvement!
