If it wasn’t for the company I work for using this bank I would never step foot in this location again. I have been here on a few occasion and it is constantly getting worse with every visit. Yesterday afternoon was by far the worst experience I could imagine in regards to customer service. I understand that jobs with the general public in a customer service position can be frustrating, but I can’t believe the lack of effort that was put in by their employees to complete a simple task which I thought was part of their job. I was the only person standing in line when I entered the bank, there were three kiosks open and one lady was on the phone, one lady was helping a customer and one girl was chatting with anyone who worked there and taking her sweet time as she obviously had no desire to help any clients. The lineup was growing behind me as I watched the lady on the phone hang up and chat with some of her fellow employees who were conversing about a personal, non-work related conversation. After about 5 – 6 minutes of the line growing and watching their conversation take place, one girl went to her desk and the other (who was on the phone) went back to completing her task that she had been working on. At least she was actually working unlike most of the women at this location! I was finally going to be helped! Or so I thought, now was the time she needed to sip on her Starbucks coffee and arrange her desk. Fair enough I like to have organization in my work space, but I also know when I need to complete my job and help customers and when I can take my time to do as I please. After logging into her computer, switching where she wanted her name sign to sit a few times until she was happy with its location, moving around her pens and sipping her Starbucks she said “You can come over now”. Oh thanks! Not like I have been waiting for the last 10 minutes or anything! She asked me how my day was going and it took everything in me not to let her know it was great until I had to come to RBC. My response was not the usual friendly response I would give but a simple and stern “fine”. Here is the big surprise, the task only took her 1 minute, maybe less to complete! Although this may have been the worst experience I have had at this location it is not far off from all the other times I have to stop in. The ladies there spend more time chatting and finding anything else to do than help their customers. Please note I have seen two ladies who shine at this location but the rest are a waste of a paycheque. This RBC location is a joke and if you are looking for a good experience do NOT look here. Go ANYWHERE else in this town and you will be guaranteed excellent service in comparison. I spoke to my boss in regards to my experience and she agreed that the service she has received has been very comparable to my visit, at least they are consistent.
