Avis sur Collision Clinic Ltd, St. John's

Let me start by saying the only reason i went here was because my insurance company deals with them and i thought it would be easier, Big mistake. I should have gone where i felt comfortable and let the insurance company send their auditor. Everything was fine at the initial meeting when they appraised the car. They gave me an appt a month and a half down the line which i didn't like waiting but what can you do. All collision company's are probably backed up anyway. When it came down to TWO business days before my appt i get a call from them saying they won;t look at my vehicle because they have had a lot of tow-ins, and they take priority. I was quite upset hearing this even though they said they would get to me in 6 more days. When i started asking how an appt made so long in advance could be pushed back i got no answer other than "we have had a lot of tow-ins." I asked for a manager and was passed along to Rob Williams the Production Manager. Rob was not helpful and even slightly rude saying "stuff happens" and "I don;t know what you don't understand about this." The "this" being that cars that were towed in will get the priority. When I did not want to continue that conversation i was passed on to Bill Didham the Assistant Manager, who while very nice, did not help me at all. He proceeded to explain how they were "short staffed" because summer vacation (which i actually understand because this time of year that happens) . What i really had issue with all along is when he said "tow-ins has to be looked at first because insurance company's only pay $900 for rental fees" and after some prodding "We have a deal with the insurance company's that we do tow-ins first so they don;t pay as much in rentals" and "they put pressure on them to hurry (tow-ins)". It may seem petty but i made my Appt almost TWO months in advance only to be told these guys have company's advocating for their cars to be done quick and i have to get pushed back. If your company is priority based then tell me that when i make an Appt. If you work on first come first serve you failed. In short if you are getting towed in maybe not so bad but if you are getting cosmetic work done you could be pushed back, so don;t plan your own vacation even TWO months in advance.
