Today, 13th January 2015, I had an awful shopping experience. My wife and I arrived and parked our car around noon today in the Maxi Bedford (cote-des-neiges) parking lot. My wife directly went inside to Maxi store to start shopping. On the other hand,I felt a little hungry so I went to the Harveys store, right across the parking lot to pick up a snack first. I was out of Harveys within 10 minutes, coming back to Maxi to join my wife, and I realized that my car has disappeared! I went looking around and a guy named James, who was working for le groupe remorquage taxi, saw me and said to me he towed my car because I wasn’t going to shop to Maxi. I was upset and came inside the Maxi store to seek for my wife, then we went seek help from Maxi employees to address this issue. The manager and his assistant manager (a female employee) were very rude and they didn’t care and said only one sentence to me, telling me to deal with the towing guy named James, points him to me, and they left.I went back to James, explained to him the situation, we are Maxi store clients, we came here to shop at Maxi. My wife directly went inside the store, where I was hungry for a snack and went to Harveys, and within 10min I was coming back to Maxi. He didn’t care at all. At that time, I was really upset. I said to James, you saw I came in to Maxi and my wife was already inside, correct? What law says a couple had to both come inside Maxi and shop there at the same time? James kept saying I had to pay the fines, that he already towed my car away. After several minutes of discussion with James, who seemed uninterested, I finally paid the towing charge to get my car, so that I could put Maxi groceries bags inside the car! Maxi is using an unprofessional towing company, which unlawfully towed my car, even when we were Maxi customers.
