I spent almost $600 and within 1.5 months, the SAME PROBLEM started happening again. I came back to this Midas service and Andrew S., Manager, told me that there was NO WARRANTY although the woman who is working at the front desk said that warranty would be 3 months from the date of the service when I came 1.5 months ago. Both of them said that it could be a different problem so they suggested me that another diagnostic test was necessary to find out what the problem was. What did they do with the first diagnostic test that I had paid for when I came first? Aren't they supposed to find out what the real problem was at that time? If their technicians couldn't diagnose accurately, why should we come and use their repair service? The woman further said that they could not predict the future so it could be a different problem. This is a lame excuse. Really, it is only 1.5 months!! It is NOT a future time! My car gave a same warning and it behaved exactly like 1.5 months ago. The only thing that the manager was thinking was how to rip off customers. I asked him (just wanted to know) how much it would be for a diagnostic test? He said that it was $98. I told him that it was $60 about 1.5 months ago based on the receipt. The woman told me that it was only $60 for a diagnostic test when I came 1.5 months ago. Andrew S. said that he was a manager here. So, the woman made a mistake at that time. I said she did not make a mistake because I asked her for a couple times how much a diagnostic test would be before deciding to use their repair shop 1.5 month ago. Apparently, there was no consistent between the manager and his subordinate because 1.5 month ago, the manager said that a diagnostic test would be $90. He said that after I had decided to use their service and my car was being repaired by Justin M. (a technician). Within 1.5 months, the diagnostic test has risen up from $90 to $98. Speaking about a mistake, it is actually a mistake to use and ask for my car to be fixed by this Midas repair shop! So, I asked for other repair shop (NOT Midas) to fix my car. After doing a diagnostic test at other shop, they concluded that it was exactly the SAME PROBLEM as what had happened 1.5 months ago. They told me that Midas did NOT use OEM parts. That's why my car often does not recognize it. Before deciding to fix my car at Midas, I asked if they would use new OEM parts specialized for my car, Andrew said yes. STAY AWAY from this Midas shop!! They are trained just to lure you to fix your car there but after that, there is no service, no warranty after sales. Don't trust your car with them. They might use used spare parts. Their technicians could also not diagnose car problems accurately. Totally ripped off!
