At Southpoint, we wait for leaders to emerge before we engage in a new project, event or program. We are also open to change as new opportunities present themselves. We don’t have a tight five year strategic plan or an aggressive approach to “closing the back door” (ie specific ways to keep people in once we’ve got them!) We believe that God gives us what we need (finances, leaders, resources, ideas, space) for each stage of the journey. Our job is to cultivate a healthy environment for these seeds to grow.

ACCES is a registered non-profit society, dedicated to the empowerment of Africans, primarily through post-secondary scholarships and community development activities. The cornerstone of ACCES is it’s mission - ACCES exists to provide young Africans with the education and tools necessary to benefit themselves and their society. Not only do the direct beneficiaries benefit, but so does their society - specifically, their communities. This is the key to the success of ACCES. ACCES partners with the Ministry of Education to enhance public primary schools, using them as community learning centers to provide primary and adult education as well as community development programs such as HIV/AIDS, health, gender, child rights, agri-business and micro-enterprise training activities. We list all the general membership meetings for the year and you can find the meeting date and location for your area under What’s Happening. Full time staff representatives of Local 247 are assigned to the various stores and units to deal with any issues you may have and you may also look up your representative by clicking on Your Union and then find them under Union Rep. Last year we launched our online grievance filing system for our full time staff representatives which has greatly increased the efficiency and accuracy of how we deal with grievances with the various employers.
