The marketing of bees and bee products is traditionally accomplished by word of mouth and generally does not require an advertising budget. However, Bee Natural Apiaries has developed a web page which will expand the market to include international sales of bee products. Scott has fostered good relationships with local hobby beekeepers as well as commercial businesses such as The West Coast honey Bee Center and Kidd Brothers for sales of honey, queens and bee stock. The Honey Bee Center and Caspian Apiaries, Scott’s major clients for queen sales, purchase the greatest percentage of queens he produces with surplus queens readily purchased by hobby beekeepers. Notices in Beekeeping Newsletters inform the beekeeping community of the availability of Bee Natural bee stock. Two Fraser Valley packers, Kidd Brothers and St. Michael’s Honey, purchase most of the bulk honey produced by local beekeepers. Pollination services for the major berry and tree fruit crops generate a significant potion of income. Growers are contacted personally, and long-term contracts are developed as a result of personal attention to their needs. Timely, dependable, effective pollination results in a growing demand for the healthy, vigorous bees provided by Bee Natural Apiaries..
