Foam Creations (2008) Inc. started its operations in September of 2008 after Crocs had decided to shut down its plant in Quebec City. After successfull negociations with Crocs on the use of technology, management team members of the Quebec Crocs plant got together and started Foam Creations (2008) with long time partners. The company had a few name changes along the way : starting as Evasol Plastics, to Finproject NA Inc. and then Foam Creations to Crocs, it becomes Foam Creations (2008) in September 2008. In 1995, Evasol Plastics was the first North American company to import from Italy and use this technology to produce expanded, crosslinked polyolefine based foam products. Evasol Plastics was molding its first parts and in 1996, joined with Finproject SpA (Italy), world leader in shoe soles making and developper of raw material, becomming Finproject N.A. Inc. The company invested succesfully in R&D and succeeded to develop unique raw material for its injection technology. These new materials were critical in the development and molding of added value foam products for the spa and the kayak industries. The material was also used to create in 2001, the first generation of sandals that would become famous worldwide. In 2003, Crocs became a major distributor of the sandals and in 2004 Crocs bought the company. The name changed for Foam Creations, then to Crocs Inc. and the company became very successfull due to the production and distribution of the Crocs sandals.

Centria’s history began in 1994 with the creation of the company Contramax, most of whose shares were acquired in 2002 by business man Jean-Guy Desjardins ( Fiera Capital Corporation). In 2003, the Contramax Construction Fund, L.P. was launched, and in 2005 the name we know today was adopted: Centria Commerce Inc. In 1999, the arrival of new shareholders and Mr. Robert Dupont as project leader injected new life into Intergroupe. Mr. Dupont, on the strength of his 40 years of experience in the field, took on this new challenge with passion and dedication. He received a lot of help from Mr. Roger Pelletier who was then head of the Hallé Couture Assurances firm. Beginning in 2001, Intergroupe's new approach - based on respect, mutual understanding and especially freedom of action - quickly attracted a large number of affiliated firms and insurers. This formula is still the key factor in the success of our group. In 2004 major investments were made to consolidate the risk placement and marketing and management support divisions. That same year, Intergroupe opened its new spacious and modern office in Quebec City's Ste-Foy borough. In 2007 the company spruced up its brand image. Our new colours better reflected the Intergroupe brand's deployment strategy. The next few years may prove just as exciting and you can be sure that we will always be in the forefront in the wonderful realm of insurance. A tremendous progress! From $30 million in total premium volume in 1996, our group now totals almost half a billion dollars in total premium volume. From the five member firms we had in 1996, we now have more than 110 member firms. The real reason behind our success: Our group is made up of people who have their clients' best interests at heart. We are insurance professionals and enthusiasts. People will always be the main reason behind the success of our company.
