While steeped in history that began in 1851, the modern day Ottawa Curling Club is all about its members. Craig Savill, Lead Team Howard We strive to provide the best playing conditions we can while also providing a nurturing and supportive environment that allows our members to achieve whether they are playing at the highest levels of the sport or volunteering to help achieve success during one of our numerous functions. The Ottawa is managed by a professional manager who oversees the day to day operation of the club. An elected, volunteer Board of Directors sets the policy for the club with member input encouraged. The five sheets of ice are maintained by our professional Ice Technician. OCC staff and volunteers thanked by event organizers We also provide a professional kitchen where meals are prepared by a paid kitchen staff. All servers and bar tenders are employed by the club as well. Members can curl in numerous leagues, use practice ice and avail themselves of the club lounge and hospitality. An on-site Pro Shop is also worth a visit. Ask about the monthly chit system that makes your leisure time more enjoyable. The club also plays host to numerous events and rental leagues - the weekly Special Olympics curling program and the annual National Blind and Vision Impaired Curling Championships are but 2 examples. So no matter what your skill level or level of interest the Ottawa Curling Club is where you belong. The OCC. Experience. The Tradition.

Our mission is to strengthen the Paralympic Movement in Canada. The Paralympic Movement is a group of individuals and organizations collectively engaged in developing sport and sport-related opportunities for people with a physical disability, so that they can fulfill their personal potential and fully participate in their community. Our vision is a thriving network of individuals, sports organisations, community and government groups working together to give people with a physical disability the chance to benefit from the sense of confidence, empowerment and pride that comes from playing sport at any level. The Canadian Paralympic Committee identity is a combination of the most recognizable Canadian symbol — the maple leaf — and a stylized flame representing the Paralympic Torch and the passion that unites all members of the Paralympic Movement. The logo incorporates the International Paralympic Committee identity. The red, blue and green elements are called Agitos (from the Latin word "agito", meaning "I move"). They encircle a centre point to represent that athletes are coming from all corners of the world to compete together. The unification of the two identities symbolizes CPC’s proud commitment to empowering persons with physical disabilities worldwide through sport. The identity is an expression of partnership, leadership, and fairness, while promoting a strong and vibrant Paralympic Movement across the nation.
