Our mission at Alpha Bee is to provide quality evidence-based ABA based programs and services to children and youth with autism and other developmental exceptionalities through direct services, training of family members and consultation to the community. Alpha Bee is a positive experience for both children and staff, providing optimal learning opportunities for children and youth utilizing an individualized, creative and multi-modal approach, whilst embracing technology to enhance teaching and learning. Alpha Bee Every child has the potential to learn and develop skills beyond their current level. Children and youth of all ages can benefit from the application of Applied Behaviour Analysis in expanding their skill sets but also addressing the behavioural obstacles to learning which often impede full community participation. Our teaching needs to be data driven and evidence based. Communication skills are critical in enabling inclusion and participation in educational and community activities. Alpha Bee offers centre-based services in Etobicoke and Hamilton and home based services in the Greater Toronto Area, Mississauga, Halton, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and York regions. Existing as part of its sister company, wm+a, since 2005, Alpha Bee was created as a separate entity in 2007. Since then, Alpha Bee has expanded its range of services as well as claimed community recognition as one of the leading providers of Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) and ABA. Currently Alpha Bee services children who are both Ministry approved through the IBI initiative (DFO) as well as privately funded children. Children who are funded privately include those who do not meet the criteria for funding, are on wait list, children who have been discharged from IBI, or other exceptional circumstances.
