YMCA Child Care at KSS provides child care programs for infants and toddlers aged 0-5. The centre is located on Kelowna Secondary School grounds in its own separate building with a fenced outdoor play ground. All programming utilizes the nationally recognized YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum which helps build capacity for lifelong learning by creating quality learning experiences through play. As a charity, the centre is able to offer financial assistance above and beyond government subsidy to families who qualify. This specific centre also operates the Young Parent Program at Kelowna Secondary School, providing parents under 20 with the training and resources they need to thrive. YMCA Child Care at KSS is part of the YMCA of Okanagan, a cause-driven charity dedicated to building healthy individuals and communities.
