Our Mandate To produce the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, present a theatre arts season through the Arts at the Barns Presentation Series, and operate and manage the ATB Financial Arts Barns, by means of a balanced work environment, strong governance, and sound fiscal management. Membership — Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is a founding member of the (CAFF). CAFF has established a set of guidelines and philosophies to which each Fringe Festival must adhere for Fringe Indoor Theatre: Participation in the Festival is determined by a non-juried process; Participants receive 100% of the ticketed box office receipts for their performances; Fringe Festival producers have no control over the artistic content of performances; Fringes should provide accessible opportunities for audiences and artists to participate.

Institut Guy-Lacombe de la famille : The current structure of the Institut Guy-Lacombe de la famille in 1998. Its historical dates back to 1992 when the Fédération des parents francophones de l’Alberta creates a provincial Preschool Resource Centre . The center then sought to support Francophone parents in their quest for French educational resources and promote socialization and development of children 0-6 years in terms of language, culture, identity and sense of belonging to the Francophone community in Alberta. In January 1995, the provincial center is called the Preschool Resource Centre Guy Lacombe in tribute to him for his significant contribution towards the French first language education in Alberta. The commitment and dedication of parent volunteers and members of the families of resource centers located in the province, in subsequent years, highlighted the need to develop a social project that can better meet the multiple needs of francophone families province. Thanks to the work of an ad hoc committee with members of the Francophone community, FPFA and Family Guy Lacombe, the project was realized with the creation of the Institut Guy-Lacombe de la famille. Becoming Institut, the organization expands its mandate. In addition to supplying regional resource centers, he became the spokesman of a network of resource centers at the provincial and national level. Since its inception over 25 years ago, FPFA has organized an annual conference for parents across the province and touching on a wide variety of themes. During the conference, a host of workshops, lectures and training sessions are offered to parents and educators. The Fédération des parents francophones de l’Alberta (FPFA) had its beginnings in 1986, the result of an initiative by several parents who had the francophonie and the welfare of their children at heart. Actually, it was at the Congrès de la francophonie held in Edmonton that FPFA was inaugurated as the primary organization responsible for supporting parents desire for a French first language education for their children. FPFA’s mission is to connect, challenge and consult parents, members and partners in the implementation of strategies aimed at increasing access to French programs and services, from pregnancy through to postsecondary level.
