Habitat for Humanity ReStores are building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials. We are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and generate funds to support Habitat’s building programs, while reducing the amount of used materials that are headed for overflowing landfills! ReStores started in Canada in 1986 because someone had a great idea, what do we do with all of this leftover building material that has been donated… They didn’t want to throw it away, because it wasn’t in bad shape, and was still very usable. The idea was crafted to help raise a few funds by selling the items and then donating the money back to the Building program.
