The Manitoba Geothermal Energy Alliance (MGEA) is a not-for-profit multi-stakeholder membership based organization founded in January 2006, helping to advance the geothermal industry in Manitoba - our current president is Brent Laufer. We are Manitoba’s leading consortium of industry stakeholders, bringing together consumers and the government with geothermal installers, loop installers, professionals, manufacturers and distributors. We express interests for a clean sustainable energy source, high industry standards, assurance and public protection through our permitting system. The MGEA recognizes that there are many opportunities for the industry, but this growth should be done with diligence. We plan to be instrumental in fostering industry quality assurance, being an advocate for comprehensive industry training, standards and consumer protection. Our website (www.mgea.ca) is an instrument to communicate consumer awareness, industry news, events and technology innovations.

Initiated in 1989, the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba continues to be governed by the Winnipeg Construction Association’s Board of Directors and the CSAM Advisory Committee. The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba is a non-profit organization run by and for the building construction industry in Manitoba, those who belong to the “400 Group” of the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB). The Association is financed entirely by Manitoba contractors through a surcharge on a small percent of their assessment premiums collected by the Workers Compensation Board and by the premiums paid by our Associate Members. As such, we are very proud to run a sleek and extremely efficient organization at as little cost to you as possible.
