Jameswood Alternative School (JAS) is a senior years school in Winnipeg, Manitoba with a population of at most 100 students. Jameswood Alternative School has limited enrollment that caters to a selective group of students in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. Students attend our school for a variety of social-emotional, behavioural and academic reasons. If you are a self motivated person who lives in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division and wants to be in school but the typical school setting does not meet your needs, JAS may be your school. JAS offers classes with small student-teacher ratios and courses that are offered in a self directed manner. JAS offers an alternative for students who have a desire to attend school but can not attend a regular school setting. Students enrolled in JAS must maintain excellent attendance. Students who are unable to attend regularly will be required to enroll in their catchment school or re-enroll at a later date.
