About Dr. Cecilia Ng Breathing should be natural and effortless for optimal health. When breathing goes wrong particularly during sleep it can cause serious health risks and bring much misery to the sufferer. I know because my husband was diagnosed with sleep apnea 10 years ago and I witnessed his frustration as he struggled with treatment. Committed to better understand this sleep breathing disorder and help others like my husband, I embarked on an academic journey that took me to many education opportunities across Canada and the US. I was awarded board certification as a Diplomate Candidate by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Many sleep apnea patients also suffer from TMJ disorder. Common TMJ symptoms include jaw pain, jaw joint noises, locked jaw, muscle tension and headaches. During my 30 years of practice, I have acquired extensive clinical experience and become very successful in treating these conditions. Recognizing that there are few colleagues with expertise in both dental specialities, I dedicate my practice exclusively to sleep apnea and TMJ in order to better serve the needs of these patients. It brings me great joy as a dentist to help people resolve pain, sleep better and improve their overall health.
