Community Therapists, also known as CTI, was founded in 1989 by occupational therapist, Linda Hirsekorn. We began by providing community based occupational therapy for Insurance Corporation of BC clients who had experienced catastrophic injuries. Over time, our practice has grown and evolved in response to the changing needs of the institutions we serve and their clients. We now provide a range of assessment and treatment services for clients experiencing physical, cognitive, developmental and psychological disabilities. We provide occupational therapy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation assistant services as well as psychology and speech-language therapy delivered by our service partners. Our services are delivered in community settings (e. client homes, community centres), our clinics, service partner offices and residential care facilities. We serve the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Sea to Sky region, Victoria, Nanaimo and the Gulf Islands with our team of over 90 healthcare and administrative personnel.
