Though there are many ways to interpret what that phrase means, one of those ways is as a request from our students to all parents and teachers. Our children look to us to reflect the messages of Christ in our own lives, to set an example that they can appreciate and try to emulate. Those who achieve success in that worthwhile pursuit will be those who have, to the best of their ability, lived well, laughed often and loved much, who have gained the respect of children, who leave the world better than they found it, and who never fail to look for the best in others or give the best of themselves. As parents and educators, we must plant the seeds of morality, compassion, faithfulness, kindness and integrity for our children.
