The 411 Seniors Centre is an inclusive, versatile and dynamic drop-in centre for older adults. We provide tools, services, programs and activities that enable low income seniors to live independent lives and thrive in our community. Through our organizational governance and volunteer constitution we provide opportunities for seniors to take a leadership role. The 411 Seniors Centre has a long standing commitment to diversity and inclusivity in service provision. Our focus includes: creating strong networks within the community, bridging connections between seniors from varied backgrounds, thwarting intolerance, promoting multiculturalism and empowering seniors. Through the delivery of our programs and activities we hope to further instill and promote independence and self esteem, while working towards the health and wellness of our community as a whole. We strive to meet the programming needs of our membership and volunteer base by focusing on present concerns, immediate needs and future trends. We strive to empower older adults to build and strengthen community capacity and to change and enhance their quality of life. Empowerment involves working alongside our seniors as we assist them to develop and strengthen their social, emotional, mental and physical well-being along with their economic independence and stability. We aim to assist in creating the foundation by which our members and seniors in the community can take a proactive role in guiding the community towards a healthier, stronger and more inclusive society.

Children with Intestinal and Liver Disorders (CH.I.L.D.) Foundation (Canada) is a federally registered organization located in Vancouver which was established in 1995 to fund research for children affected by Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and liver disorders. We built BC's first research lab on the site of BC Children's Hospital aimed at finding a cure for these conditions. Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS) is a non-profit, community-based organization that has been providing services for immigrant women and their young children in Vancouver since 1975. We have helped thousands of women from all around the world to gain the knowledge, skills, confidence and friendships they need to feel at home in Canada, and to participate more actively in their community. The purpose of Marpole Oakridge Family Place is to promote and facilitate the wellbeing of families. We provide a welcoming, supportive and relaxing environment in which parents, caregivers and children can meet to socialize, play and learn. Marpole Oakridge Family Place began 35 years ago in a private living room. From there it moved to a small room at Marpole Oakridge Community Centre where it was operated twice a week by volunteers who relied on donations. Today Marpole Oakridge Family Place occupies its own expansive premises in the heritage building that used to be the old Marpole Fire house on Hudson and West 70th Avenue.
