Richard N. (Rick) Toews was called to the bar in 1985 and practiced in downtown Vancouver for 8 years before moving his residence from Kitsilano to Squamish with his wife in 1993 to raise their three children "out of the city". He commuted daily to Vancouver for the next 5 years and then established a satellite office in Squamish, expecting to develop a one to two day per week practice in Squamish. The Squamish practice grew quickly, and in 2001, after practicing primarily in downtown Vancouver for 16 years, Mr. Toews change the focus of his practice to Squamish and made the Vancouver office his satellite office. The Squamish practice has flourished since then, with most new clients being from the Sea to Sky Corridor. The Vancouver office, located on West Georgia Street, is now the satellite office for the firm and continues to be used to service new and existing clients in the Lower Mainland.
