Established September 2006 Selkirk Security has grown quickly to be the Kootenays # 1 Security & Safety Business. Awarded annually for the last 6 years, platinum Best in Business for Security, Fire Inspections and Overall favorite Place to do Business by Kootenay Business Magazine. Selkirk Security opened in October 2006 with great support of the community and today now employs over 50 professional security guards and trades persons to many communities, from our head office in Trail B.C our coverage area branches East to Princeton, West to Sparwood and North to Revelstoke & Golden. Do to overwhelming requests from the communities we serve, our company has seen many changes over the last few years; In 2010 Selkirk Security expanded into the Fire/Safety field by hiring dedicated Fire Protection Technicians for Kitchen Suppression Systems, Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems and Fire Extinguishers Installation, Servicing, Maintenance and certification. Also in 2010 Selkirk gained two new Security Technicians. The following year was very busy for Selkirk Security; we added a dedicated IT Technician to our Technical Team as technology and information technology & networking skills are gaining more importance within the field of Security. We also expanded our fleet to include a Bucket Truck, this truck allow us to better serve our clients for specialized security & CCTV installations and servicing and we finished building the only Fire Extinguisher Service Centre located in Trail, B.C. In 2012 we expanded our professional services to include Licensed Security Consultations and a new Fire Safety Product Line and finished the year by hiring an additional two IT/Security Technicians in Kalso & Nelson, B.C.
