Our programs are designed for the whole child, acknowledging and encouraging each child's creativity, intellectual development, peer socialization and respect for oneself and others. Programs include child directed learning. Each child explores and engages in learning activities which support and develop the child's skills in language, science, math, art, drama, motor skills and peer interaction. A child's self confidence is fostered throughout all activities. Neighbourhood outings are also designed to enhance learning.

In the heart of a bustling high school, I witnessed a scene that would change the course of my life forever. A teen, caught up in the middle of gang-related altercation, fell victim to a fatal stabbing incident. The cruel reality of his untimely death hit me like a freight train. The chaos, the fear, the desperate attempts to help – it all etched an indelible mark on my soul. It was in that moment of harsh reality that the seed of Life Safe was planted. I remember the face of that young man, the life draining from his eyes, and the feeling of utter helplessness that consumed me. I asked myself, what if I could have done something? What if I had the knowledge and the skills to intervene? I realized that my inability to help was not due to a lack of will, but a lack of knowledge. This was a gap I was determined to bridge, not only for myself, but for my community as well. At Life Safe, our mission is not just to teach life-saving skills, but to instill confidence, to foster a sense of responsibility, and to cultivate a community of individuals ready to step up when situations demand. We stand for accessible education for all, regardless of their economic or social status. We believe in empowerment, and we work relentlessly to provide our students with the tools to make a tangible difference in their world. We are proud to be the first and only company to regularly offer free CPR C courses.

The Canadian Gemmological Association is a not-for-profit corporation that was established in 1958 to provide a Canadian source for gemmological education and to act as a medium for communication and co-operation among those involved in all aspects of gemmology. Our mandate includes the dissemination of knowledge and information, and the promotion of high ethical and professional standards within the sector. Millions of people worldwide buy gems and jewellery, yet know very little about the range of man-made or enhanced stones on the market, or even the best ways to handle and clean their jewellery. In Canada, the CGA offers complimentary gem identification and general commentary at Ontario Gem and Mineral shows. Our goal is to enhance people's enjoyment of gems, and help build confidence in the trade by educating about ethics and standards, and by promoting recognized professional credentials.
