Commerce has been taught at the University of Toronto since 1901, when the Faculty of Arts began to offer a diploma program in Commerce. In 1909, the University inaugurated a Bachelor of Arts program in Commerce and Finance, which, in 1920, became the Bachelor of Commerce. The current Bachelor of Commerce at the St. George campus is offered – and funded – jointly by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Since 2008-2009, the program has offered three specialist programs: Accounting, Finance and Economics, and Management. In the latter specialization, students can choose to concentrate in marketing, organizational behaviour, or strategy. In addition to our excellent academic reputation, Rotman Commerce is known for its student life initiatives, career and job preparation opportunities, and alumni engagement.

Coffee is a trillion dollar industry with a concentration of this wealth in large corporations. The quality of that coffee is most times poor. Coffee's for every person and an every day beverage. Quality does not need to be sacrificed. We want to redistribute this wealth to the grassroots and teach quality to both the consumer and all points of the supply chain. We began in the late 1980’s as business consultants and quickly grew into Sanctioned Organizers of all Canadian Specialty Coffee competitions and in the early 2000’s as Coffee Educators with 5 campuses spread across Canada. Today we host hands-on barista training, business as a science seminars, gelato and ice cream classes and coffee roasting classes integrating global issues into all of our content. We are devoted to demystifying coffee and to provide training in communities of all sizes to ensure all people have equal access to education. Our trainers maintain an unbiased approach and possess both the knowledge and passion to work with any brand or equipment. The founder of the Institute started as an early coffee fanatic in the early 1990s. Along with other coffee explorers he found an outlet in a text based news group called Alt.coffee. This newsgroup was the genesis of problem solving, sharing data and insights into solving the mysteries of coffee. A great deal of what is common knowledge today was developed in those early days in alt.coffee. Some of those early explorers moved onto Coffeed, HomeBarista and some went offline as they matured and put coffee on the back burner. The revival of artisan 3rd wave coffee in the early 2000’s brought many people back to the industry. The formation of the Institute's core philosophy and mission statement has its roots there. This quest to share and motivate people to do greater things in coffee. Today we continue to share and inspire both in coffee and in regular life. We aim to inspire people to have success in career, business, wellness, to contrib…

When students arrive at the English School of Canada, the first thing that they notice is that our school is different. At ESC, we take the time to discuss and understand your needs. We know that you are coming to Canada to improve your English language skills, and our goal is to help you meet that objective. When you arrive at ESC, you will meet the Directors and have a personal orientation tour of the school. Then we work with you to assess your personal needs and objectives - you will complete a skills assessment test, and we will recommend a program and class schedule to ensure that you can meet your personal goals. Learning English includes practicing your skills outside of the classroom. Our additional Educational Services are provided so that your learning continues even after your classes.

Founded in 1990, the Cornerstone Montessori Prep School (formerly Cornerstone Preparatory School) is sponsored by the Chinese Young Men's Christian Institution (CYMCI). It is registered and inspected by the Ministry of Education as a private school and is a member of the Association of Christian School International (ACSI). As an academically accelerated school, we encourage our students to study and think beyond their own expectations. Using our eclectic approach in employing both the traditional and whole language style of teaching, we provide a strong foundational curriculum with individualized, enriched programs. Our daily core studies are supplemented by music, French, and Mandarin classes as well as active participation in varsity sports. We specialize in daily English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for our international students.
