The Haliburton Highlands in central Ontario is an area of small lakes, exposed rocks and forest. Camp White Pine is nestled on a private lake in this region of Ontario. Each summer its 1600 acre site is home to boys and girls from around the world. Joe Kronick started White Pine in 1956. Since 1985 his son, Adam, has been the Camp Director. In 1990 Adam was joined by his wife, Dana, as Co-Director. Our campers range in age from seven to sixteen, and live in six sections that function as mini camps - Kiwis, Koalas, Blue Dolphins, Red Dolphins, Gnus and Training Village. Each section has its own supervisor (section head) who has specialized knowledge of that age group. Each section also is sufficiently small to ensure personalized attention and concern, within a camp that is sufficiently large to provide a variety of activities and experiences. Our campers and staff come from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Japan, Europe and South America. Friendships are formed which often are maintained throughout life. Many of our campers are children of former campers or staff members.

Founded in Ontario’s pristine Algonquin Park, Tamakwa offers a well-rounded outdoor program. Physically, our camp facility has been totally restored and refurbished throughout the years, yet Tamakwa’s magic has always been the intangible quality of warmth and camaraderie of an Algonquin camp family. Tamakwa is an intimate camp where everyone knows each other. Cabin groups are purposely small, particularly in our youngest age groups and one on one attention is provided to campers throughout the day and night.

Absolutely, THE Best Way to End Your Summer! Great Music AND Camp Experience - Our Programmes Can't Be Beat We provide an extraordinary music and camp experience for young musicians aged 9-18 from beginners to advanced, and we've been doing it for over 50 years. We offer Band (including beginning band instruments), Orchestra (including beginning strings), Suzuki Strings, Choir, Music Theatre, Guitar (classical and acoustic) and Jazz programmes. Our Faculty are great musicians and great people. They come to us from around Ontario and the rest of Canada and bring enormous enthusiasm for teaching young players. Our Music Staff love the week even more than the campers! They live in the cabins with them, eat meals and help them in rehearsals. The Recreation Staff are the best of the Camp Wahanowin Core Staff. While the campers are in class, they're cooking up another great evening programme or getting ready for a rec period. We See Some of the Best Sunsets! Located on the site of Camp Wahanowin, on the sunny shores of Lake Couchiching, we're just under 2 hours north of Toronto and about 15 minutes from Orillia. We know sunsets aren't a reason to come to camp, but we DO see GREAT sunsets. They're the perfect coda to a great camp day. For Over Fifty Years..! Over Fifty Years! Our campers have the time of their lives, making lifelong friends and learning in a challenging, supportive, family-like environment. Many of our campers now start their NMC life at age 9 or 10 and continue through the end of high school, at which point they get in line to be accepted on staff.
