Established in 1977, the Independent Wine Education Guild (IWEG) is the sole provider in Ontario of both the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma and the French Wine Scholar (FWS) programmes. Our stimulating wine, spirits and beer education programmes are designed to satisfy the needs of the novice, enthusiast and the professional. IWEG’s experienced instructors bring the highest qualifications in North America to the classroom! IWEG is the recipient of the prestigious WSET Achievement Award Award for spearheading establishment of the WSET programme in Canada and for excellence in wine and spirit education. WSET-based programmes, widely considered the "Gold Standard" in wine education, are offered in 55 countries across the globe. IWEG brings focused studies on wine producing regions of the world through top quality programmes such as the French Wine Society Scholar and Master Level courses. In addition, IWEG has developed a number of popular specialty courses in wines, spirits, beers and food & beverage pairing. In-class and In-house courses are offered in a number of convenient locations to meet the needs of the community. IWEG also offers extensive opportunities to distance learners through On-line and Home Study programmes.

For consumers living within the GTA/Hamilton/Niagara areas we offer daytime delivery to your home or office free of charge (provided the order is for more than one case, for single case deliveries we do have a $10 [plus HST] delivery fee). For clients in south/central Ontario we offer delivery for a $20 flat rate (plus HST), regardless of case volume. Generally orders can be delivered within 5 business days. For all clients we can also ship wines to an LCBO of your choice at no extra cost. The shipment usually takes 2-4 weeks, but may take up to 8 in peak seasons or based on distance. The cases arrive pre-paid, we e-mail you the invoice and credit card slip and the store should give you a call to let you know they've arrived.
