The mandate of the College is to regulate the professions of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. The College serves and protects the public interest, and governs its members in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA), the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Act, 1991(ASLPA) and the regulations, policies and by-laws of the College. The College is responsible for protecting the public’s right to safe, quality services from audiologists and speech-language pathologists. This is accomplished by providing oversight and education to our members.

We value the importance of communicating patient results with Physicians to provide the best possible care. o Our lead audiologist and owner has a Ph.D. in auditory neurophysiology and Cochlear Implants, and is very much involved in Academia with appointments at the University of Toronto and the University of Wester Ontario. Clinical decisions at AudioSense are therefore evidence-based and influenced by current research in the field. o Our lead audiologist and owner is the President of the Canadian Academy of Audiology, an association with 700+ members. We have an intimate knowledge of clinical struggles that audiologists and patients face when dealing with Hearing and Balance services throughout the country. This allows us to have a unique perspective on audiology care. o AudioSense is independent from manufacturer’s funding.

The Munk Hearing Centre, located at Toronto General Hospital, is the first and only full-service hearing aid dispensary for the University Health Network (UHN). We work closely with the Hearing and Balance Centre and the Department of Otolaryngology to address the hearing health care needs of our patients. All of our audiologists are registered with CASLPO and can recommend specific hearing solutions for every patient based on their individual needs.
