Junior Jammers is a pre-school class that also makes a great compliment to kids in kindergarten. Your child will learn to sing song lyrics, sing using the solfège system (Do Re Mi), perform music-guided movements and be introduced to basic musical elements such as pitch and rhythm. Each Junior Jammer will put their musical knowledge to work by playing rhythmic instruments and very basic pitch producing instruments. The instrumental activities are simple enough to give your child immediate gratification and do not require at-home practice. Children participating in this group class will also be exposed to music that is beyond their playing ability so that they hear different musical instruments and styles to inspire their creative and musical futures. Songs and activities can be taken home to enrich their lives musically even when outside the classroom. Parent attendance is mandatory. Classes run weekly, for 60 minutes, for 12 weeks. Junior Jammers classes are also offered in 3 phases, for those who want to continue group lessons but are not yet old enough for the next age group. Pricing: Tuition (12 weeks): $229.00 plus a one time registration fee of $25.00. Price includes costs of materials.
