Sands Bulk Transport is based in Prince George, British Columbia and has been a premier provider of fuel transportation throughout Canada’s western provinces and territories for the past 12 years. With a modern fleet of tanker trucks and trailers, our company provides services to any industry that uses bulk petroleum or chemicals. Our talented team of drivers and dispatchers move over 300 million litres per year - and over half of this volume is to the mining and natural resource industries in northern British Columbia. Our team has the skills and training needed to move dangerous goods safely to our customers along resource roads and northern highways. History Sands Bulk started as a petroleum re-seller in September 2000 with three trucks operating out of a small office next to the refinery in Prince George. With various opportunities presenting themselves for transporting fuel and chemicals as a hired carrier, Sands Bulk grew into a petroleum transporter for hire, acquiring more customers and equipment along the way. In 2006 Sands Bulk purchased land in the BCR site at 1059 Eastern Street in Prince George and built our current shop and office facility. A branch office in Kamloops was opened in the spring of 2011. Mission We will provide industry-leading products with follow-up customer service that is second to none in a safety focused and environmentally responsible manner. In addition, we will continually strive to achieve measured growth all the while developing mutually beneficial relationships with our valued customers. Equipment A large portion of Sands Bulk’s success can be associated with the development of unique equipment to service our customers. We have multiple tanker configurations - Super-B, Tridem/Quad, Tridem/Tridem, Tandem/Quad, Semi, Stainless and Aluminum. We also have custom designed mobile transloader units and mobile refuelling units for equipment and aircraft (pictured at right).
