The Niagara Business & Innovation Fund launched in October 2014. This fund evolved from the transition and evolution of the South Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation, formerly part of the Federal Community Futures Program. The original objective of these corporations were to eventually move away from taxpayer funded support and be self sustainable in their communities. The SNCFDC left the CF program in the Spring of 2014 and is proud that it now operates without taxpayer dollars and is sustained by its own investments This achievement was the first in the program in over 20 years. The Fund will consider debt, equity or other investment opportunities that contribute to the growth of the Niagara economy as well as partnership investments, particularly in the innovation, early stage start up sectors. We are proud to have partnered with the Niagara Angel Network and other local entrepreneurs who want to give back to their communities.
