Ottawa West Community Support (OWCS) has been involved in the community since 1968. You can join us in our mission by volunteering your time. We provide assistance to hundreds of seniors in the Ottawa area. Ottawa West Community Support (OWCS), is a non-profit outreach ministry of Christian Churches in the West End of Ottawa, motivated by the love of God, in service to all seniors and disabled adults in our community, regardless of race, colour, or creed.

Causeway Foundation was established in 1998 and fundraises to support Causeway Work Centre’s programs and services and maintain and improve the building at 22 O’Meara St, Ottawa. In 2012, Causeway Foundation was accepted into the Imagine Canada Ethical Code Program. Causeway’s compliance with the Ethical Code standards tells donors that we values your contribution and will steward your donations to ensure they have the greatest impact possible. The Foundation is managed by a nine-member Board of Directors and employs one full-time staff. Citizen Advocacy matches individuals with disabilities who are particularly vulnerable with volunteers from the community in long-term supportive relationships. Advocates help in a variety of ways: providing practical assistance in independent living (shopping, finding accommodation, managing money, accessing needed services); providing opportunities to get out into the community and pursue interests; and generally encouraging independence and participation in community life.
