Founded in 2010 as a charitable organization, Urban Squash Toronto strives to ensure Toronto’s underserved youth future success. Offering an intense after-school education program together with concentrated squash training, Urban Squash helps motivated and talented students reach their full academic, athletic and personal potentials. Our organization aims to broaden youths’ horizons through the provision of a comprehensive education plan which includes squash training, academic tutoring, mentoring, community service, cultural trips and more. All Urban Squash students are provided with a healthy meal during each program day. Participants are selected at the Grade 6 level and remain in the program throughout their high school years. Urban Squash Toronto currently serves 85 students from the Jane and Finch area. At the beginning of each academic year, an additional 20 students are invited to the program.
