Twisted Tulip Floral Design is a floral design studio based in North Saanich, BC specializing in wedding and event florals. No shop, but a lovely country studio! Flora - always a part of the best things in my life - the bouquets of roadside buttercups and forget-me-knots gathered for my grandmother, arduous hikes to alpine meadows overflowing with paintbrush and columbine, hours spent lingering over botanical floral paintings in Kew Garden’s Marianne North Gallery, and of course, time spent in the garden growing blossoms. And these days, choosing the best blooms to keep my bees close to home. When I’m not in my studio or garden, I can be found tending the Twisted Tulip Apiary hives!

In addition to the wonderful gardens and lavender fields, Alan has a passion for breeding rare birds and operates a rescue sanctuary on the property for many different ducks, chickens and peacocks. A serious dog lover, Alan's border collies, Max and Cosmo, together with Zak the Great Pyrenees keep the birds and sheep in line. Admission to our farm is free and well behaved children are encouraged. Badly behaved children are fed to the chickens.
