Independently owned and operated since 1964. Music City opened in 1964 as a small, family-owned and operated full-line musical instrument store. At its first location on Cassells St. in downtown North Bay, Music City served all musicians from North Bay and area, offering sales, lessons, repairs and rentals. In 1997, the store was purchased by husband-and-wife team Roger and Reva Perreault, who continued the tradition of Music City’s family-owned and run heritage. One year later, the Perreaults expanded the store and moved it into its current location in the old St. Regis Hotel on Algonquin Ave. This marked the coming together of two local musical legacies, as the St. Regis housed a popular nightclub offering live entertainment for several decades. Many local customers fondly reminisce the times they spent on-stage at the Regis while browsing the store today. The late 00's marked yet another change in the history of Music City as Roger and Reva have handed over the reins to their son Mike and his wife Renee. The tradition of a family-run music store continues with the new generation, as well as the commitment to honest and reliable customer service to everyone in the music community and beyond. Today Music City looks forward to the future, with an eye for modern and exciting products while also respecting tradition.
