Located in the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Fort George was the headquarters of the Centre Division of the British Army during the War of 1812, and played a key role in the defence of Upper Canada. Fort George is open weekends November to April, and seven days a week from May to October, offering visitors an opportunity to step back in time with tours, musket demonstrations, special exhibits, costumed staff and reconstructed buildings. Throughout the summer, the 41st Regiment of Foot Fife and Drum Corps and Infantry provide daily demonstrations, bringing the early history of Niagara to life!

Canadian, and internationally acclaimed, artist Edward Spera's creations are inspired from his travels across the globe. Numerous research trips have taken him across Africa, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, China, Tibet, North, South & Central America and now into the oceans of the world. His latest journeys were concentrated in Kenya/Rwanda (Aug/Sept 2013), India/Bhutan (Mar 2014) and South Dakota (June 2014). From these adventures he takes moments of time captured by camera and turns them into detailed wonders of art. By doing so, Edward hopes to convey to the viewer the incredible beauty of the creatures that share this world with us.

Ron and Barb Zimmermann have been creating beautiful stoneware pottery in their home studio since 1989. They design their own shapes, glazes and decorative motifs, in colours from deep blue and frosted green to goldenrod and chocolate brown. They have a loyal local following and also have their pieces in homes and offices around the globe. Their studio in lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake is surrounded by orchards and vineyards that lead the way to the cool blue of Lake Ontario. Put a little piece of Niagara on your table!
