Delphinium Festival - July 6 & 7, 2013

Come celebrate summer with friends and gardening enthusiasts at the 6th annual Delphinium Festival.
Experience the refreshing peace and beauty at Plant Paradise Country Gardens.
The festival includes gardening workshops/seminars, guided tours of the botanical gardens, concert, raffle, food, and much more. Adding to the exciting lineup of horticultural speakers, that include Charlie Dobbin, will be the Art in the Garden show & sale at the festival.

Schedule of Events
Each workshop/seminar is $25.00 (+HST) and advance registration is recommended. A printed handout accompanies each workshop.

Saturday July 6, 2013
10:00am - Delphinium Companions in the Perennial Border $25.00   Register & Pay with PayPal or Register & Pay with Cheque
Horticulturist and author of the book, A Recipe for Continuous Bloom, Lorraine Roberts will introduce you to the best companion plants for Delphiniums.

11:00am - Guided Talk and Tour of the Botanical Gardens (Free)

12:00pm - Great Gardening Tips with Charlie Dobbin: Q & A Session (Free)
Charlie Dobbin is a well known horticulturist and landscape designer that hosts the Garden and Home Show on The New AM 740. During her two-decade career, she has become well known for her professional gardening seminars and demonstrations, as well as for her prolific articles in newspapers and magazines. On HGTV, Charlie co-hosted the TV show, One Garden, Two Looks. She is also the Horticultural Director for Canada Blooms.

10:00am - The Art of Photographing Flowers & Gardens Workshop $25.00 Register & Pay with PayPal or Register & Pay with Cheque
Cliff Smith, graduate of the Ontario College of Art, presents a fun and informative workshop that explores alternative ways to view your subject. He goes through a variety of principles, with examples, to help you see "like an artist" the many options of creating beautiful photographs. Bring Camera and Tripod is also recommended.

Jazz singer, Andie Trepanier accompanied by guitarist, Kevin Beamish

1:00pm - Floral Arranging with Fresh Flowers - Workshop $25.00   Register & Pay with PayPal or Register & Pay with Cheque
Trish Symons, horticultural and floral design judge, will demonstrate how to create 3 different award winning fresh flower arrangements. Afterwards, we will raffle off the three arrangements to 3 lucky workshop participants.
