I was reading a website/blog called “Hug a Tree”. It caught my attention. Some of my best friends are tree huggers! The scope of the article was about recycling scrap metals that drove this harsh cycle …as some of new cars are made from the scrap metals. A contribution to air pollution. They thought it was a viscous plot by the car manufacturers. I was going to respond. But I thought better of it. No use getting into a debate over scrap metals. It could go on forever. Unless we all ride bicycles? Alas, bicycles would have to be recycled if they are damaged or beyond repair. We couldn’t survive without these metal boxes called cars. At some point we may drive plastic, synthetic cars. I wonder what our tree hugger would think of that. Certainly toxins would be the question here. We’ve got ourselves in a pickle and expect other people to fix it. But we are involved in our own lives trying to survive each day. How can we solve these big problems? Scrapping metals is a good thing!
