Our Vision Statement St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church as community in Jesus Christ, foresees living out its faith by engaging the local neighbourhood and its culture, with God’s guidance and provision. Our Mission Statement We will share the Love of Jesus Christ through activities and programs that will feed hearts, minds, bodies and souls, encouraging everyone to be a part of our family in Christ Jesus. The Presbyterian Church organizes itself and makes decisions through a body of elected members of the church, called Session. Members of Session are elected every two years and “sit as an elder” for a six year (renewable) term. Session is responsible for the Vision, Mission and Spiritual direction of the church. Day-to-day operations and decision making is dealt with by Ministry Teams, for which Session members are representatives to. Services 9:00 a. Family Worship Service (September - June) 11:00 a. Traditional Family Worship Service (September - June) 10:00 a. Joint Services (every Sunday of July and August) Communion Services are the first Sunday of the month. Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation was established in 1977 as a means through which grateful patients and loved ones could "give back" to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). The Foundation began actively fundraising in 1991 in response to the rising cost of delivering quality healthcare on Central Vancouver Island. Since then, we have raised over $42 million for NRGH and affiliated healthcare facilities. Also see history and facts. Advancements in medical treatments and technologies, growing demand for services - government healthcare funding simply cannot cover it all. The Foundation raises much-needed dollars for state-of-the-art medical equipment, new facilities and renovations, and continuing education for our healthcare professionals. The Foundation also provides a means through which conscientious corporations and individuals can say "thank you" by making a contribution to healthcare delivery in our Central Vancouver Island communities.
