The weekend event provided Quebec youth with an opportunity to discuss their role in Canada today and exchange on critical issues such as Social Issues and the Environment, Politics and Democracy, and Canadian Identity. Funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Youth Take Charge program, and led by the Quebec Community Groups Network, Young Quebecers Leading the Way is a three-year project that engages hundreds of young Quebecers in the celebration of the sesquicentennial of Canadian Confederation. in partnership with the Association for Canadian Studies and the Institut du Nouveau Monde, the project is overseeing three annual youth forums where participants aged 15 to 25 offer their views on the significance of youth engagement in shaping the future of their country.
