Physical fitness program, Martial Arts School 2 Anshin School of Karate is dedicated to the promotion of Matsubayashi Shorin-ryu karate in Canada as handed down by the late Soke Takayoshi Nagamine, and Ryu-Kyu Kobudo Hozon Shin Ko Kai under Sensei Yoshiko Dometrich. Anshin School of Karate is one of only 5 schools in Canada to be a member of Matsubayashi Shorin-ryu karate under Master Nagamine Takayoshi. The chief instructor at Anshin Karate is Sensei Steve Trombley who is dedicated to carefully passing the knowledge of both karate and kobudo to his students. Matsubayashi Shorin-ryu karate is an Okinawan martial art with a long history and tradition. Founded by Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine, the federation is currently headed by his son, Master Takayoshi Nagamine. Sensei Steve Trombley is an integral part of the tradition of Matsubayashi-Ryu style Karate. He has been instrumental in hosting many seminars in Canada, hosting Master Takayoski Nagamine as well as teaching extensively in the Homebu Dojo in Japan. He has done clinics around the world including in the United States, Canada, Germany and Ireland.

Lynn-Rose Heights provides a stimulating and challenging curriculum environment for all students regardless of age level. Whether in Junior kindergarten or a Primary, Junior or Intermediate level class, all students are expected to achieve their maximum academic potential. Class sizes are kept small, a ratio of 16:1, to ensure that all students receive the individual attention that is crucial to student success. Consequently, teachers are able to monitor student progress on a daily basis and respond accordingly either through enrichment or remediation. At Lynn-Rose Heights, our language arts program combines traditional methods of teaching with the latest in academic research: Based on both research findings and the practical wisdom of the most experienced reading teachers, educators are concluding that emerging readers benefit from a balanced variety of approaches to reading instruction and that whole-language and phonics instruction are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Teachers want children to be able to break the code and develop reading independence. They want to involve students in understanding text through personal response, through the use of reading strategies, through discussion and interaction with others, and through writing. With these current perceptions, Lynn-Rose Heights has adopted a language arts program that prepares students for reading and writing success in the earliest years and sets the stage for lifelong learning.

Children's Programs Our childrens' programs are designed to develop focus, listening skills, confidence and discipline while learning self defence in our traditional karate program. Adult & Teen Programs We offer a variety of classes for teens and adults: Karate – Traditional blocks, strikes, punches and kicks combined with the traditional values of the Martial Arts. Cardio Kickboxing – Our Kardio Kicks classes are a fun and invigorating training program designed to challenge you both mentally and physically. We incorporate high intensity kicking routines, upper body drills, and sport specific drills to strengthen your core. This class will help you increase your stamina, coordination, and strength as you learn basic martial arts techniques. MMA – Incorporates cardio conditioning with escapes from grabs and holds as well as ground self-defense, combined with modern applications of strikes, blocks and kicks that enables strong standup defense.
