Burnett Fellowship is a network of smaller communities we call Life Groups. They are people joined by the Gospel pursuing a common purpose of a transformed life. When you read through the Bible, you learn that when the church functioned at its best, it had both large group activities and small group activities where people found friendship and encouragement as they followed Christ and sought to expand His purposes. Acts 4 gives a great example of this principle in action as groups gathered daily in homes for fellowship and meals, Bible study and prayer, and the generous sharing of resources. It’s an example of the large church becoming small. At Burnett we believe that to build a caring community Life Groups are our primary structure for discipleship and care. We believe groups provide the ideal environment for real life change to occur as we stimulate one another to learn from Christ, live for Christ, and lead others to Christ.
