CastaNewf Kennels ‘officially’ began in 1985 when we obtained our first Newfoundland. “Panda” introduced us to the wonderful world of Newfoundlands, and we immediately became immersed in the breed, joining the Canadian Kennel Club, the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada, the Newfoundland Club of America and several local Newf breed clubs. Valuable information about the breed was gained this way and we didn’t stop there; we have served on national, regional and local clubs as presidents, chairpersons, secretaries and treasurers. Denise served as the 2nd Vice President of the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada, chairs the Judges Education Committee of the Newfoundland Club of America and also serves on the NCA’s Working Dog Commitee. She also served as the President of the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada - BC Region for 15 years and most recently as the Club's treasurer. Denise is also a water and draft test judge in Canada and the U.S.
