Rosie Animal Adoption was founded in 2001 when two friends, both volunteers at animal shelters, decided to combine forces and venture out on their own. Our philosophy is to protect and ensure the survival of adoptable dogs. We are dedicated to finding responsible and loving homes for misplaced, neglected and unwanted dogs. Our goal is to educate the public and pet lovers on responsible pet guardianship, which includes: spaying and neutering of pets, behavioral guidelines to ensure problem behaviors are dealt with before the pet is abandoned and to inform prospective pet guardians of the special qualities, characteristics and requirements of a pet before they acquire it. We hope to eventually eliminate the need for any and all adoption programs as the public becomes more educated. It is imperative as members of this group and pet lovers in general that we make every effort to care for pets. Rosie Animal Adoption is NOT a shelter and is not affiliated with any animal welfare or humane organization which makes our task even more difficult. We do not receive any financial assistance from these groups. We are a non-profit/charitable organization and we rely totally on the generosity and support of the public Rosie Animal Adoption finds homes for dogs through our Foster Care and Adoption Care programs. Medical care, spaying and neutering and basic necessities such as food, shelter, kindness and compassion are provided by dedicated professionals and volunteers. Rosie Animal Adoption is located in Montreal, Quebec.
