Wayne Eddy, a local lobster fisherman and his wife, Marie, started Wayne's World Lobster in a fishing shed many years ago. They saw an opportunity for a retail business in the tourist area of Fisherman's Cove in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia during a lull in the ground fishery. After a few years of taking care of a busy store and taking good care of the customer base they cultivated, Wayne and Marie decided to spend more time with their grandchildren and get back to the basics of fishing lobster. We purchased the retail shop in 2002 and focused on the top quality lobster that made the Eddy's famous as well as providing the customers with a selection of the freshest seafood available. We tried different ideas to see how we could grow the business and branch out into undiscovered markets. Some things worked, some things didn't.
