Fully qualified staff of teachers All ages from 3yrs to adult ballet, jazz and tap students prepared for RAD ballet exams from primary to Advanced 2 No competitions, no expensive costumes Emphasis on sound technical training Annual end of season Demonstration (recital) at the Dofasco Centre for the Arts (Theatre Aquarius) Dance Centre Alumni have appeared in professional productions in North America (Toronto, Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, Charlottetown Festival (PEI), New York) and England (London's West End) - Students of The Dance Centre have appeared in professional productions at Theatre Aquarius such as The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Oliver, Anne of Green Gables, Jesus Christ Superstar, The King and I. At The Dance Centre our emphasis has always been on sound, and safe, technical training while developing a natural sense of musicality and performance in the students. We have chosen not to participate in competitions as we feel we are more able to fulfill our mandate in an atmosphere where all students are given equal opportunity. Students of The Dance Centre have been accepted into The National Ballet School, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and to post secondary dance programmes at Ryerson and York Universities.
